NATO "Precision Bombing" Destroys Libyan Down's Syndrome Children's School

The NWO forces of the UN, US/NATO and the EU are clearly following the same model they used in Serbia and Kosovo over a decade ago, which is bombing and killing the innocent civilians they are claiming to protect - which is, of course, why they must bomb them - if you can bring yourself to understand the Orwellian circular logic of their lies.

A Libyan child killed by NATO bombs near Brega

Regardless of the "collateral damage" - that is, murdering, maiming and inflicting horrific pain and suffering upon the innocent civilians, whether they happen to live in Serbia, Kosovo or Libya. It makes no difference to the evil and arrogant powers (human and otherwise) behind the NWO.

Barack Hussein Obama's big NWO show must go on, even if it is a diversion and distraction away from his unprecedented failures as the leader of any nation, but for the United States, he is without question the lowest low in our mostly proud history as a nation.

The Eurofighter "Typhoon" making its combat debut in Libya

As NATO aircraft (primarily French, Italian, British and US) continue patrolling the skies over Libya's sovereign terrritory, and bombing whatever targets they want to with impunity and zero resistance from hostile Libyan aircraft and minimal air defenses, it surely makes a reasonable person wonder why they are unable to avoid causing mass civilian casualties and damage?

For example, let's look at today's (accidental?) NATO bombing and and total destruction of a School for Down's Syndrome Children in Tripoli, Libya.

TRIPOLI (Reuters) - Shattered glass litters the carpet at the Libyan Down's Syndrome Society, and dust covers pictures of grinning children that adorn the hallway, thrown into darkness by a NATO strike early on Saturday.

It was unclear what the target of the strike was, though Libyan officials said it was Muammar Gaddafi himself, who was giving a live television address at the time.

"They maybe wanted to hit the television. This is a non-military, non-governmental building," said Mohammed al-Mehdi, head of the civil societies council, which licenses and oversees civil groups in Libya.

The missile completely destroyed an adjoining office in the compound that houses the government's commission for children.

The force of the blast blew in windows and doors in the parent-funded school for children with Down's Syndrome and officials said it damaged an orphanage on the floor above.

"I felt sad really. I kept thinking, what are we going to do with these children?" said Ismail Seddigh, who set up the school 17 years ago after his own daughter was born with Down's.

"This is not the place we left on Thursday afternoon."

There were no children at the school when the missiles hit early on Saturday morning, since Friday begins the weekend in Libya. Children had been due to come in on Saturday morning.

A mound of rubble was all that remained of one wing of the main building that adjoined the school, though an antenna of some kind protruded from the ruins.

Both Mehdi and Seddigh said they had assumed that the antenna on the building was there to strengthen mobile phone signals and were not aware of any other use.

In the rubble of the main building, a shredding machine packed with sliced up documents lay on its side. A fax and phone were nearby and shelves of files could be seen.

The Libyan government has repeatedly said that NATO airstrikes have hurt and killed civilians but has not responded to requests by journalists to visit the hospitals, making it tough to verify casualty figures.

NATO has hit inside or near Gaddafi's compound before, or struck military or logistical sites. Saturday's government-organized visit was the first to bring journalists -- whom government minders watch closely -- to a civilian site.

Inside the school, the power had been knocked out by the strikes, the floor was wet because of a leaking pipe and desks were covered in glass and debris.

Seddigh's school prepared children with Down's Syndrome up to the age of 6 to go to normal schools, giving them speech therapy, handicrafts and sports sessions and teaching them to read and write. It handles 50 to 60 children a day.

The Real Target Revealed: Kill His Children and Grandchildren

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi survived a NATO airstrike on Saturday night that killed his youngest son Saif al-Arab and three of his grandchildren, a Libyan government spokesman said.

This witch just really makes me want to vomit...

Hillary Clinton says: “We Can Arm Libyan Rebels”, as the NATO Chief Simultaneously Warns that Al Qaeda And Hezbollah are Present Among the Libyan Rebels.

Have I mentioned this concept of Duplicity before?? I believe I have...see below.

Duplicity defined - Obama grinning with the Nobel Peace Prize that he did nothing to deserve

The NWO leaders and their political puppets around the world sure seem to love Duplicity, judging from pretty much everything they say and do.

A Libyan father comforts his young child, wounded in the violent insanity of this pointless and despicable Obama-UN-NATO-EU led "kinetic military operation".

Hans Fritzsche - one of the OG Spin Doctors, second only to his Nazi mentor, Joseph Goebbels

But none of the highly paid spin doctors in Obama's PR (lying) machine can change reality simply by changing the language in the same cynical and very insulting way that they always attempt to do.

This "operation" is , and continues to be, nothing more than a series of aggressive, unprovoked acts of war against a sovereign nation, Libya, which clearly has the right to deal with its own internal problems without any unwelcome and illegal intervention by any nation or supra-national group of nations that have not themselves been attacked by Libya, in this case.

UPDATE 06/19/11: NATO kills at least 9 more Libyan civilians in Tripoli

In what we have come to expect as all-too predictable results from The New World Order, the codename "Unified Protector", in classic NATO fashion, is once again the force that is killing the innocent civilians it claims it is there to protect and defend from Colonel Gaddafi and his military forces.

"NATO admitted it carried out an air strike that killed civilians in Tripoli on Sunday.

"Although we are still determining the specifics of this event, indications are that a weapons system failure may have caused this incident," said Lieutenant-General Charles Bouchard, Commander of Operation Unified Protector in a statement.

NATO said a military missile site was the intended target of the air strikes and acknowledged the civilian casualties.

Early on Sunday, Libyan officials took reporters to a residential area in Tripoli's Souq al-Juma district where the reporters saw several bodies being pulled out of the rubble of a destroyed building.

Later, in a hospital, they were shown the bodies of two children and three adults who, officials said, were among those killed in the strike.

Libyan Foreign Minister Abdelati Obeidi said the NATO strike was a "pathetic attempt...to break the spirit of the people of Tripoli and allow small numbers of terrorists to cause instability and disorder in the peaceful city."

Libyan officials earlier put the death toll at seven, but Obeidi said there were 9 dead and 18 wounded."

Please also see this excellent article at the Endrtimes blog, regarding the complete lack of anything resembling leadership or a cohesive plan as these criminal acts of war against Libya continue, with NATO's command elements not having any coherent or effective means of communication with the rebels that they are clearly supporting in their unofficial (and illegal) actual goal - which is to assassinate and replace Col. Gaddafi as the leader of the small sovereign African nation of Libya.

http://endrtimes.blogspot.com/2011/06/where-is-nato-rebel-asks-with-no-small.html

The UN, NATO, EU and Obama's fellow criminal conspirators have simply decided of their own will that they no longer want the legitimate leader this a nation to be in charge, and they feel completely justified in attacking him with military force, with the goal of killing and replacing him, because "they know what's best for Libya", and the rest of the entire world, for that matter.

Wise observers may have noticed by now that there has been very little (more like zero) mention of "protecting civilians" from Gaddafi's horrific military attacks against "unarmed civilians" - probably because that was never really the issue involved in Obama starting this war a few months ago - and not surprisngly, there has been no adverse effects or criticism coming from the global mass media about Obama and NATO straying from what they claimed their acts of war were all about - "securing a no fly zone for the UN, and protecting innocent civilians from being slaughtered".

So, now that these atrocious and aggressive acts of war continue unabated and there has been no new information or further explanation of why NATO, the US and UN are simply continuing to attack Libya - despite it now being an obvious lie and manipulation - and despite the fact that their course of action, as well as their tactical bombing campaign within the borders of a sovereign nation continues without even a wink and a nod to pretend that this is legally or morally justified in any way, whatsover.

I would imagine we can expect this to simply continue, with Obama not even feeling the necessity to "wink and nod" to show us that, yes, he knows that the whole thing is illegal, and was never about saving innocent civilian lives in the first place - and that he will never admit that he was wrong, acted illegally, or simply just stop attacking Libya.

The New World Order's agenda, as it is being advanced through the UN, US/NATO and the EU has now been laid bare and exposed to all the world for what it truly is and wishes to be in the future of our world - THE ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT that will decide whoever it wants to attack, for whatever reasons it may choose (or invent), at any time that it wants to.

I Got A Manicure: Cotton Candy by Orly

As most of you know, I usually paint my own nails. In fact, I haven’t had a professional manicure in over a year…until today! I decided that it was time to get my nails in shape for summer.

A salon in my city was having a 2 for 1 deal for the month of April—purchase a pedicure and get a free manicure. I took advantage of the offer just in time for the month to end.

I am very happy with my nails. They now look neater and nicely shaped. I also love the colour! I chose Cotton Candy by Orly. In the past I have not been a big fan of Orly but I am so impressed with the colour of Cotton Candy that I think I may consider purchasing a bottle of it if I happen to see one at the beauty supply store.

Let me know what you think of my manicure, the polish colour, and the Orly brand in general. Have a great weekend!

When Was The Last Time You Finished Your Own Project?

I have been working hard on this own project of mine that I am so happy to have done. I'm happy because of so many things relating to this project. Probably the most important thing is that it's the first time in a very long time that I have managed to finished something on my own. Not because I was given a deadline. Not because I was forced to finish this in only few days.

I have finished something on my own.

When you read that one sentence, you begin to realize that a large amount of people (maybe even yourself) have gone through this struggle before. You spend days, weeks, months, or possibly years on this one project that you have felt excited about on the very first day you thought about it. Then you start going through the process. It's the first couple of days that feels like a pain in the butt. At times, you start to regret what you was feeling when you first started this.

Then as time go by, you begin to wonder if it's time to put this project to an end or continue going through the process until you successfully finish it. Once I was done with this particular project of mine, I began to realize that I'm not the only person who was going through that difficult.

The project can be many anything. When was the last time you finished reading a book on your own without having to stop halfway through the novel? When was the last time you went to the gym and took those two hours in there that you promised yourself? When was the last time you finished cooking that recipe in that book that you've always wanted to try? You can do things on a deadline or when you are asked to do it, but when was the last time that you've finished something all on your own?

It's that one question that you just can't shake off. There came a point in everyone's life when you chose not to clock ourselves the way we used to. The only thing related to a clock that we focused on is doing everything we can before the sun comes down. The brain turns out can be an ultimate frenemy. One minute, you are thinking about getting closer to finishing our own project. Then you are distracted once a clip of your favorite tv show pops up in you brain.

And yet, through all of those difficult challenges, 50% of us finally manages to put an end to whatever we've been working on. Once everything is done, you begin to ask ourselves that question all over again.

When it comes to life, when was the last time we've finished our own projects?

Guest Post - Thoughts on travel for Divergent Musings

Yesterday I wrote a guest post for Kate of Divergent Musings. I could say so many great things about Kate, but I'll limited myself to the following: She's an excellent writer, a dedicated blogger, and one of the sweetest people I know. Oh - and a snazzy dresser to boot. (Yes, I just said snazzy. Apparently I'm eighty.) Jump on over to her blog and read my thoughts regarding travel, and what not to pack for a trip!

Fashion Beauty Friend Friday: Fitness

This week, Fashion Beauty Friend Friday is focused on fitness. As someone with little to no coordination and almost zero athletic ability, I've always been curious about those women who are able to tolerate getting sweaty without having a full-scale nervous breakdown (such as I am accustomed to.) I'm intrigued by these women, these warriors of the gym and running paths, who seem to glide by almost effortlessly in a blissful state of endorphin rush. I'm a little excited to read the other responses to this week's questions.

The Friend Friday group by Modly Chic is a way for fashion bloggers to share more about themselves and join a friendly community of bloggers.  Join the fun by checking out the  Fashion Beauty Friend Friday Google Group. And don't forget to check out Modly Chic - it's such a great blog.

1. Do you keep some kind of fitness routine? Why?

I am the very last person you would consider athletic. Coordination is not my strong suit. Occasionally I fall over when tying my shoes. And I feel awkward and self-conscious at the gym. In the past, I've tried to work around these weaknesses by avoiding team sports. In college I was an equestrian, which provided a surprising good workout. I was also involved on the crew team, filling the role of coxswain in the skull. The cox does absolutely no rowing, exerting themselves by screaming at the team to keep them coordinated. Oh, and the cox steers the boat by pulling gently on a little lever. But I could tell everyone I was on the crew team, and in my head that counted for something.

In the last year, motivated by a desire to become more muscular, I've discovered running.  And I love it. Running makes me feel strong, and powerful, and accomplished. When I run my brain relaxes, and all those little nagging worries are drowned out by the pounding of my feet and rhythm of my breathing. And I've grown to embrace my sweaty body after a run - it's proof that I've conquered a workout. Running is a surprise stress reliever, and that's the biggest reward.

2. Has working out, maybe training for a marathon or something of that nature, helped with your own perception of body image?

When I'm running regularly I definitely feel better about my body. I spent so many years hating how I looked and punishing myself through starvation and purging behaviors. Settling into a workout routine makes me feel more self-confident, and has encouraged me to look at myself in a totally different light. Because of running, I'm a lot stronger than I thought I was. I'm physically capable of more than I dreamed. And it feels really good.

3. When you are hitting the gym or just going out for a long walk, what do you wear? Is it about functionality or fashion?

I suppose I take both into account when choosing my workout wear. I really like Nike's Tempo running shorts, and purchased them in bulk at the Nike Factory Store near my house. They're comfortable, lightweight and don't ride up. I also like Old Navy's long sports tanks with a sports bra underneath. I like to coordinate my tanks with my shorts, but I go so far as wearing makeup or doing my hair before working out. I do have one rule regarding athletic apparel, though: It should remain at the gym. Personally, I would never pull on workout clothes to grab something to eat or run errands.

4. Do you feel there is a cultural perception of what you ‘should’ be doing for your own physical fitness?

I'm not entirely sure. Ever since Jane Fonda made aerobics popular back in the eighties, there's been a certain push for women to work out. I don't see anything wrong with that as long as exercising is something you do for you, rather than to impress your friends or fit in with those around you. In addition, working out should always been done in moderation. It should not dominate your life at the sacrifice of relationships and other activities. And, as with most things, it shouldn't be an obsession. I've met women who worked out excessively and developed serious injuries as a result. Balance is key.

5.  Dream big… what would be your ultimate fitness goal?

My goal is simple: I'd like to follow a regular fitness routine that I enjoy. In the past working out has either been something I dreaded or did to excess. Running regularly, and looking forward to my runs, is a simple goal that makes the most sense to me. Perhaps I'll run a 10k someday, or even a half-marathon. But right now I don't feel the need to do so.

Be Invincible... 8 day until the biggest debut in the 18 year history of Carol's Daughter

My feature in this week's IFB Links a la Mode: Week of April 28th

This week Dress With Courage was featured in IFB's Links A La Mode. IFB is a website for style, fashion and beauty bloggers containing articles, forums, polls and promotional tools. Home to thousands of members, it is an incredible resource for those interested in promoting their blogs, networking with fellow bloggers, and improving their posts. For fashion and style bloggers it's like crack. Not that I've tried it, but like I've seen on Intervention. Anyways, I've learned so much about blogging through IFB and made from pretty wonderful friends through the message boards. If you're a blogger interested in gaining followers, traffic, and ideas for future posts, don't hesitate to become an IFB member.

This is my ninth (eek!) feature in Links A La Mode, and I'm particularly proud that my post was chosen.  I am so grateful to be included with such talented, stylish, and informative bloggers. Here's the feature with my link:

More than Meets the Eye

Edited by Fajr Muhammad at Stylish Thought

When you visit a fashion blog you often see a stylish blogger posing in a perfectly, put together outfit with gorgeous scenery. What you don’t see is the work that goes into curating and maintaining a fashion blog. This week the theme across IFB was outfit posts: what deems an outfit worthy, what goes into creating a stunning visual post and ultimately the comments (some not so nice) that we receive as style bloggers. Ultimately, blogging is a way to express our love for fashion and personal style but as this week’s links can attest to, there is much more to fashion blogging than meets the eye.

Thrifting 101, Part 14: Shopping for vintage online

Source: We Heart It

There's little I love as much as shopping for vintage in a thrift store. Whether I spend time digging through bins of clothes, shuffling hungrily through racks, or trolling estate sales for the perfect piece, the joy of uncovering a special garment is hard to beat. I truly enjoy the entire experience - chatting with little old ladies about where they found that beaded sweater in their cart; learning about new shipments from store employees; playing peek-a-boo with small children hiding in the racks. And don't even get me started on the high I get when I finally do uncover a vintage piece. A fruitful excursion sends me swooning and thanking the shopping gods for my bounty.

However, I doubt I would enjoy thrifting as much as I do if I had limited time to shop. Considering that the average time I spend in a store stretches to over an hour, feeling rushed would result in nothing but frustration. I believe there are many people who are unable to really enjoy thrifting because of time constraints. It takes real patience, and a generous amount of time, to dig out the perfect garment. In addition, thrift shopping is best accomplished during the day, specifically first thing in the morning when employees put new merchandise on the floor. Because few of us can afford to miss a day of work, we might lose out on landing the best pieces. There are also concerns of allergic reactions to dust and grime, physical discomforts due to extended periods on your feet, and the frustration of not finding what you're looking for even after spending hours hunting (which happens to me all the time, and I'm kind of an expert.)

Thanks to the internet, finding vintage pieces is possible without dealing with long lines, time constraints, and allergy attacks. With the abundance of sellers on Etsy, eBay, and through independent websites, it's possible to locate exactly what you're looking for without ever setting foot in a store. For this week's installment of Thrifting 101, I'm going to examine online shopping for vintage garments.

(Missed any previous posts in my Thrifting 101 series? Up to this point, Thrifting 101 has focused on tips for newbies and those dealing with the squick factor, advice regarding how to shop at a thrift store, thrifting for the clothing snob, recommendations for finding the best thrift and consignment stores, tips for determining what days are the best for thrifting, a post where I explained my love for thrifting, advice regarding thrift store etiquette, tips for cleaning vintage leather, a post of my favorite thrifting and vintage blogstips for identifying and cleaning thrifted jewelry, and advice for storing vintage and thrifted garments.)

Before delving into the world of online vintage shopping, it's important to know your keywords. For those new to browsing vintage online this may take a little research. If you don't know the exact vintage terms (such a eyelet high-waisted dress or boho 70's Indian batik sundress) then just use the basic generic terms: “vintage dress”. While this will result in more choices then you can possibly examine, you'll eventually be able to narrow your search down to 50's cocktail dress with shelf bust or 70's crochet mini dress with scarf hem. If you're looking for a particular color or label, using those keywords will greatly narrow your search field while shopping for vintage clothes online.

Once you've found the item you're looking for, here's a list of things to check before placing your online order for vintage clothing and accessories:
  • What is the store's return policy? If one is not clearly given, email and ask! A return policy is a must given the tricky nature of vintage clothes sizing (more on that in a bit.) Any reputable seller will graciously accept returns.
  • What type of online payments do they accept? If the shop doesn't accept credit cards, find one that does. Credit cards are a good source of protection if you have the unfortunate experience of dealing with someone that is not playing fair. Do they accept Paypal? I prefer to pay through Paypal when purchasing online - it's safe, reliable, and 100% guaranteed against unauthorized payments from your account.
  • Check for feedback. Often, online stores will have a feedback or comments page. Reading feedback from previous customers can provide valuable information about the seller and their service.
  • How does the shop describe their stock?  Many sellers have a rating system by which they specify the condition of their merchandise. Most sellers use the following system: Mint: An item is as perfect and pristine as when it was originally made and shows no sign of wear (mint condition is rare for vintage clothing). Near mint: An item shows only the slightest signs of wear. Excellent: An item shows typical signs of wear due to occasional use. Very good: An item is considered wearable but has some surface flaws (staining or soiling, for example). Good: An item is wearable but cannot be returned to excellent condition even if repairs are made. Be certain to check with the seller for an exact description of the piece you are interested in.
  • Is the item from a smoke-free home? Cigarette smoke is one of the most difficult smells to remove, and is often truly impossible to get out (especially from leather - this is important when considering coats and accessories such as handbags.) Do not purchase vintage items from a seller who lives with a smoker, or whose items were acquired from a smoker. If the seller is at all vague about responding to your questions regarding smoke-free garments, move on.
If you've ever shopped for vintage, you know that sizes of yesteryear don't always correspond with those of modern sized pieces. Unfortunately for the online vintage shopper, this can pose somewhat of a problem.  The best way to determine whether an item will fit without trying it on is to measure yourself with an old-fashioned tape measure, and use those numbers to determine whether an item is right for your body. Here are some measurement guidelines your seller might use, based on specific garment:

Blouses, Tops, Coats, and Shirts:
  1. Arm length is measured from shoulder seam to wrist hem.
  2. Bust/chest measured from underarm, across the chest to the other underarm, then measurement is doubled.
  3. Length is measured from shoulder to hem, or straight down the back not including collar.
  4. Waist is measured across where a normal waist would fall and then doubled.
  5. Back is measured from shoulder seam across to other shoulder seam.
Skirts and Dresses:
  1. Dress length is measured from shoulder to hem.
  2. Waist is measured across where an average waist falls, then doubled.
  3. Skirt length is measured from waistband to hem.
  4. Hips are measured across where an average hip falls, then doubled.
  5. Front waist is measured from the base of the throat to the natural waist. (This helps to determine whether that cute 1950's dress is actually going to sit at your waistline or be above and short-waist you.)
Pants:
  1. Inseam is measured from crotch down along inside of leg to hem.
  2. Waist is measured across natural waist then doubled.
  3. Rise is measured from the waist, down to the crotch.
Shoes:

Shoes are measured lengthwise across the top of the shoe from the heel to the toe, and the width is measured across the sole at the ball of the foot.

Have you shopped online for vintage? How has the experience differed from purchasing in-store? Do you prefer to shop in-store or online? Got any favorite sellers to recommend? Do you have an online vintage shop? Leave a comment and let us know!

Do You Have A Gay Uncle?

I am not really a family oriented person. However, I do happen to run into family gatherings when I walk around the city. I believe I have walked past more family gatherings than coming to my own family gatherings. When I walk past these family gatherings one thing always sticks into my brain. There is a gay uncle walking somewhere in the background. You don't have to think twice about that uncle. He is gay just from the looks and the actions.

In the beginning, I thought it was a little bit shocking. No matter what family gathering I walked past there was always that gay uncle in the background. You would normally think it's your brother or sister. Then later on, it turns out that it can possibly be your uncle. If you happen to have more than one gay family member that isn't your uncle, most people consider it either shocking or lucky. For some reasons, I don't know.

After realizing about this, I began to think about families in general. We have so many family members around our circle. There are some family members that are small enough for you to invite to a party, and eat only half of what you made off the barbecue grill. Then there are some families that have so many relatives that you can't even count. It's cases like that when you wish you bought yourself a mansion so you can fit all of them in there.

Families can disagree on so many things, but there is one thing that doesn't even need to be disagreeable. There is a gay member of your family. As you look closely at the family tree, the one family member that turns out to be gay is always the uncle. There are brothers and sisters as well in this category, but uncles are starting to go off the charts.

Once I stumbled this during my research, it got me thinking. Do you have a gay uncle?
